A fun place to grab food at for those visiting Lake Tahoe is Tahoe House Bakery in Tahoe City. The cafe and bakery is located right along the main road that circles around the lake. The building is a dark wooden structure with a small parking lot in front. Once inside there are cabinets full of backed goods, as well as artisan goods, such as chutney, pasta, and jams for purchase. There are separate rooms off of the main room for visitors to sit and enjoy their purchases.

Tahoe House Bakery offers sandwiches, baked goods, specialty items, and gourmet food items to go. When we visited, we purchased a variety of baked goods and some coffee. We decided to get our food to go and then drove until we found a nice view of the lake and enjoyed our a little picnic on the lake. Both the pastries and the view were fantastic! We definitely recommend a visit to Tahoe House Bakery for some yummy treats.
