PNW Park Week – Day 1

As the sun begins to emerge and the temperatures begin to warm, we will be highlighting some parks throughout the Sound. In the South End of Tacoma, Wapato Park sits just east of I-5. The park is centered around a lake with a paved trail wrapping around. The park also has a dock, bath house, picnic area, and a playground, as well as some gardens. Right now is a particularly lovely time to visit the park while the trees are blooming. When we visited there were only a couple of other people there, making for a nice low-key park visit!
