Growing up, learning about the Oregon Trail was always so interesting and since moving to the PNW we have enjoying coming across stopping points that were visited by those heading out west. A particularly fun stopping point was Soda Springs in Idaho. There are several spots to stop at and see the springs in the town, as well as a visitor center. Next to the visitor center is a geyser with a landscape similar to Yellowstone, but on a much smaller scale with no crowds. Nearby in Octagon Springs Park, visitors brought their own cups to enjoy the sparkling water. Soda Springs continues to be a fun stopping point for those exploring the west!
