In the former Cafe Osage at Bowood Farms, located in the Central West End, resides a new project by St. Louis restaurateur, Bowood by Niche. Since the restaurant is located within Bowood Farms, it boasts the same brick facade, airy interior with large windows that allow lots of light into the space, and numerous plants both inside and outside. The tables are elegantly set, with a couple of small flowers in a vase at the center of each table. Overall, the space is calming and pleasant with a touch of class.

Bowood by Niche has two different menus, one for dinner and one for both breakfast and lunch, which focuses on typical brunch fare. We stopped by Bowood Farms on a Sunday around lunch and decided to pay Bowood a visit because it looked so inviting. While Bowood rotates items on their menu, the breakfast and lunch menu typically features such breakfast staples as waffles, French toast, and egg dishes and lunch dishes like salads, sandwiches, and wraps. All of the menu items feature fresh ingredients that are artisanally prepared. We each ordered a sandwich, which was refreshing and delicious. It was easy to tell the attention to detail and the level of ingredients that went into each sandwich. We also ordered a latte, which was the perfect pairing for our lunch.

While we did not visit for dinner, Bowood also has a nice menu for dinner, including artisanal pizzas and entrees featuring chicken, beef, and trout. In addition, Bowood also has pastries, and there is a coffee bar with pastries inside Bowood Farms, so you can get a taste of Bowood by Niche without eating at the restaurant.

Bowood by Niche is a lovely place for a nice meal out, and the food is superb. We highly recommend visiting.
