For those who enjoy historic homes, Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion in St. Louis is a great activity! The mansion was originally built in the mid-1800s and is an example of a Late Greek Revival home. The historic home is located in the Benton Park neighborhood, across the street from the historic Lemp Mansion. Chatillon-Demenil offers tours for visitors to explore the home, but also learn about the different inhabitants and their role in St. Louis history. Additionally, besides historic tours, the mansion offers a couple of events a year, including Bastille day, that focuses on French culture and identity. We visited on a cold, winter day and found it to be the perfect activity to keep warm, see some lovely architecture, and learn more about St. Louis.
