A lovely little town we definitely recommend a visit to is South Haven, MI. The town is situated along the western side of Michigan on Lake Michigan and provides an opportunity for a quaint respite. South Haven offers a variety of dining options, idyllic B&Bs, museums, parks, the beach, and our favorite, a light house. While camping in the area, we visited the town of South Haven several times to stop off for a bite to eat, a walk, and some nice Lake Michigan views.

Bunde’s Bakery Cafe: A definite must if you are in the area and enjoy pastries is Bunde’s Bakery Cafe. There might be a line, but it is worth it! Bunde’s features an assortment of delicious pastries with varying options. When we visited we tried a couple of different options with coffee and then sat at the beach for a lovely morning of tasty pastries and nice views! Note, the cafe has seasonal hours, so if you are visiting in the winter, you will have to come back another time.

Beaches: After you have grabbed a yummy pastry and coffee you can head over to the waterfront. The beaches in South Haven are quite nice, and we definitely recommend visiting on a cool spring day and just enjoying the water without out the crowds. Additionally, the beaches provide nice views of not only the lake, but the South Haven Light.

South Haven Light: Right off of the quaint little South Beach in South Haven is the the South Haven Light lighthouse. The historic lighthouse has a walkway for visitors to be able to go out to the lighthouse and people enjoy nice little strolls along the walk to explore the lighthouse and be able to extend out into the lake. South Have Light is the perfect relaxing activity in the sweet little town of South Haven, MI.
