A lovely little state park that is perfect to stop off at is the Bellevue State Park. For those driving up U.S. Route 52 along the Mississippi River, the park provides a great place to stop and take in lovely views of the river for a few minutes or a place to spend the night. The park offers camping, a playground, hiking, hunting,a butterfly garden, and a nature center for visitors. We visited while on a delightful drive up the Mississippi and stopped off for a a bit to walk and take in the views. There were only a couple of other people there making it a nice, relaxing getaway in nature.
