Although it is now a well established chain it is not available everywhere and it is a unique California experience. We visited an In-N-Out in central California in the San Francisco area. There was a line stretching down the road for visitors waiting to order their food. Inside there was an equally long line, which led to over an hour of waiting to order and then receiving our food, making the concept of In-N-Out a little inaccurate for our experience. The building itself was a basic square stucco building with red and white awnings and the large retro In-N-Out sign. Inside the retro feeling continues with bright red and white tiles that have little palm trees. Our visit was a bit unique because a fight broke out between what appeared to be a group of 14 – 16 year olds with the police coming, making for a much more eventful experience than we expected. Once we waited over an hour for food and watched a rather violent fight we finally got our food. We received burgers and fries, which were quite tasty. Both of us agreed we enjoyed In-N-Out food, but we would like to give it another try that doesn’t involve such a lengthy wait or is as eventful.
