Yemanja Brasil is a Brazilian restaurant located in Benton Park. The restaurant’s fun exterior makes it apparent that it specializes in Brazilian cuisine–bright greens, blues, and yellows cover the facade around the front door and windows, and a small patio behind the building looks like a pleasant little jungle in the middle of the city. The interior features lots of the lovely brick that St. Louis is known for, along with bright colors and dark wooden tables, making for a fun, yet romantic atmosphere. Although Yemanja makes for a nice place to have dinner, because of the ongoing pandemic we had to enjoy our food at home.

Yemanja offers a full menu with an array of appetizers and entrees, featuring beef, pork, chicken, and seafood dishes. They also have house cocktails, including several Brazilian drinks. We ordered the Empanadas de bifé and the Picanha na brasa, a steak dish with a balsamic mushroom reduction and French fried potatoes. Our food was incredibly savory, rich, and flavorful, and we happily ate every bite. Yemanja is a lovely restaurant that features great food and a lovely dining experience. We highly recommend this delightful little restaurant.
