Typically we either remain within the 270 perimeter or venture out of the metro area, but with the pandemic, we have tried to venture to new parks. One of the parks we have explored was Edgar M. Queeny County Park in West St. Louis County off of Manchester. The park is rather extensive with an assortment of activities for visitors including an ice rink, playground, tennis courts, lakes for fishing, picnic shelters, and an assortment of trails for running, walking, and horseback riding. Additionally, the park has a couple of events, including equestrian events and an annual art fair.

The topography throughout the park is hilly and filled with woods, fields, flowers, and lakes so when we visited we went on a hike around the park and enjoyed the changing scenery. The best part was coming across a small little fawn that looked to be only a couple of hours old. We both enjoyed the variation in the trail and the opportunity to get a little fresh air without having to travel far out of the city.
