Brienzo’s Wood Fired Pizza is located in Peoria Heights, Illinois. Brienzo’s is a typical pizza joint, featuring artisan pizzas, salads, and paninis. The restaurant is located in a lovely u-shaped, Spanish-inspired building, which is a nice setting for the restaurant and provides a courtyard for shows and concerts during the warmer months. Inside, Brienzo’s is modern with industrial metal elements, but with a rustic twist, featuring distressed woods and painted signs on the wall.

Brienzo’s menu features several appetizers such as garlic bread, breadsticks, and wings, along with salads, paninis, and lots of pizza options featuring artisanal ingredients and both classic pies and interesting combinations. For those feeling less adventuresome, there is a make your own pizza option as well. We ordered a couple different pizzas, which we enjoyed. Brienzo’s also has quite a few different drink options, including craft beer on tap and in bottles/cans and wine. If you can’t find the beer you are looking for at Brienzo’s, you can always check out Pour Bros. Craft Taproom just across the courtyard. Overall, Brienzo’s was a fine place to grab a slice and hang out with friends.
