Sameem Afghan Restaurant is located in The Grove along Manchester Road in an old brick building with colorful red, green, and black accents–the colors of the flag of Afghanistan. Sameem offers a wide variety of traditional Afghani food, from appetizers to entrees. Because of its proximity to India and Pakistan, Afghani food, and Sameem, features a lot of curry dishes. We decided to get several different things in order to try a variety of food. The hummus and naan was a lighter consistency, but very tasty. We were grateful to have leftovers, which we enjoyed the next day. We also tried a chicken kabob, which was well-seasoned and served with a nice portion of rice. Finally, we tried the chicken karahi, seasoned with chilies, ginger, garlic, and turmeric and also served over rice. Like the chicken kabob, the chicken was flavorful and tender. Overall, Sameem has a wonderful selection of tasty Afghani dishes that are bursting with flavor. We definitely recommend trying Sameem.
