St. Louis Restaurants – Day 5

One of our favorite pubs in St. Louis is Three Kings Public House, which has grown to include four locations around St. Louis. There are restaurants in the Delmar Loop, Des Peres, South County, and the St. Louis Airport. Our favorite location, and the one we will write about here, is the original located in the Delmar Loop. This location has a warm atmosphere that is a bit reminiscent of a European pub. Exposed brick and wooden floors give the building an old charm, while the layout itself adds to the ambience. Visitors enter the restaurant where a large bar and communal seating take up most of the room. Visitors can then venture back through a dim hallway into the back room, which is a bit brighter, but still cozy. Some artwork hangs on the walls, but the real star of the decor is the brick and old wood throughout the space.

For as inviting as the space is, the food and drink options are equally appealing. Three Kings has over twenty beers on tap featuring mostly local craft brews, along with an extensive bottle list. Three Kings also has special tap takeovers and events for those interested. In addition to their beers, the public house also has a nice menu with typical pub food, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and other bar staples such as fish and chips. We’ve tried several things here, including the gyro salad, buffalo chicken wrap, and the Korean burger, and enjoyed each one. In our experience, each of the meals has been tasty and satisfying without feeling quite as heavy as typical pub food.
