Hudson River Park, as its name describes, runs along the west side of Manhattan next to the Hudson River. This green space varies, ranging from a walking/running trail with some grasses and shrubs to larger areas where visitors can move around a bit more and perhaps enjoy a picnic lunch. For those who want even more grass, Battery Park is at the southern terminus of Hudson River Park, while Riverside Park lies at the northern end. In addition to the walking/running trail, Hudson River Park also encompasses several repurposed piers that jut out in the Hudson. These also include larger green spaces, as well as more specific facilities, such as sporting complexes. Finally, there are some nice attractions situated along the park, such as the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum. If you’re looking for a bit of an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, then, Hudson River Park can offer a nice break and some nature.
