Brick River Cider Co. is the first dedicated cidery in St. Louis and located in an absolutely stunning refurbished fire station. The building is a combination of beautiful red stone and red brick with lovely curved stone lines. The cidery and restaurant is located in the downtown west neighborhood, making it a great location for the new MLS stadium that will be built only a few blocks away. Inside the decor is simple with white-tiled walls, exposed beams, and accents walls with pops of color. A bar is seated at the back and tables strewn throughout the room. There is also a full seating area upstairs for more of a dining experience.

When we visited, we sat near the bar in the first floor and enjoyed the light that came in from the big windows. Brick River Cider Co. is known for their cider, but they also served food. Since we visited, the menu has changed and has now become an entirely gluten free menu. Our friends ordered tacos and the mac and cheese and we ordered dessert, all of which are different now on the menu, but were quite tasty at the time. We also ordered a flight of ciders that allowed you to try all of the ciders they offered. We found them to all be nice and refreshing. The atmosphere, food, and ciders all made for a lovely afternoon activity in St. Louis.
