For those who are new to the opera scene and want to get a taste opera or for those who love the opera and just can’t get enough, the Webster University Opera provides visitors with a great opportunity. The students involved in opera at Webster University put on several shows throughout the year that showcase a variety of songs from different operas, giving a glimpse into opera. The majority of the operas the students put on are free, again, making it easily accessibly for those who want to give opera a try. The performances take place on Webster’s campus or occasionally at Nerinx Hall (next door) in the Webster Groves neighborhood. We have visited a couple times and enjoyed giving to hear pieces from operas we have not yet be able to see.
