Park Week – Day 2

A small park on the edge of Kirkwood is Greentree Park. The park runs along the Meramec River and is near both Meramec Landing Park and Emmenegger Park. The park is also part of the broader Meremec Greenway, a trail that runs along the river and connects several parks to one another, and the Meramec Greenway is part of a larger project in the city called the Great Rivers Greenway. The Great Rivers Greenway provides St. Louisians with a variety of trails that connect to one another to get out in nature get exercise through biking, running, or walking. Although Greentree Park is small, it provides a nice little greenery for a lunch break or a quick walk for those in the area. We recently brought our lunches to the park and just sat and enjoyed the scenery. Afterwards, we walked along the river and enjoyed being in nature.
