While we don’t visit Taco Bell anymore, we both enjoyed its Crunch Wrap Supreme when we used to visit. We found a recipe that allows you to make your very own Crunch Wrap Supreme, so gave it a try and found it to be a great recipe when you want to make something fun and different.

Ingredients:

Large tortillas

Tostada shells

Ground beef, or another meat of your choice

Cheese (we used a taco blend, but you can use whatever cheese you like)

Lettuce

Tomatoes

Queso

Cook the ground beef with whatever seasonings you like. We decided to use taco seasoning this time, but we often use Savory Spice‘s Peruvian Chili Lime spice when we make tacos or burritos. After the meat has been cooked, make sure to drain the grease and set aside. Now, you’re ready to assemble the crunch wraps. Lay a tortilla flat on a plate and put some of the meat in the middle of the tortilla, with a bit of cheese on top. Then, lay the tostada over the meat. Make sure that the meat is spread evenly underneath the tostada and that there aren’t any empty spaces or meat coming out from underneath. Put a bit more meat and cheese on top of the tostada, along with lettuce, tomato, and the queso. You can add or subtract ingredients as you like, or layer them differently. This is just the way we decided to make them. Fold the edges of the burrito over the other ingredients. We found that it wasn’t easy to keep the edges folded, but do your best (the next step will help). Heat a bit of olive oil in a pan, then place the crunch wraps into the pan with the folded side down. Heat through until the tortilla browns a little, and then flip over. Heating the folds should keep it secured. After the other side browns, take the crunch wrap off, and you’re ready for your fun meal!
