Right in the midst of NYU is a fun little restaurant called Shade Bar. The restaurant sits on the corner of 3rd and Sullivan, making it a great place to grab a bite to eat for students, teachers, employees, or visitors to NYU. The restaurant is rather small, but warm and cozy. The interior is filled with brick, dark and worn wood, dim lighting and romantic candlelit tables. It is known for crepes both savory and sweet. We visited for a quick lunch one day and absolutely loved it! The service was fantastic and the food equally good. We decided to have sweet crepes (because why not?) and found them to be delightful. As well, we got some tasty cappuccinos that accented the meal perfectly. We were in a hurry and a bit worried about time, but the service was both fast and friendly. Thus far, Shade Bar has been one of our favorite little eateries near school and we really enjoyed it!
