Located in the Midtown neighborhood of St. Louis is the Scott Joplin State Historic Site. The site is a former home of the famous St. Louis musician, Scott Joplin, and allows you to learn more about his life and music. The home is a classic two-story brick home and once inside has an assortment of items owned by Scott Joplin and museum displays. When we visited we had a nice time exploring the house and learning about about Scott Joplin and the history of ragtime. We definitely recommend a visit and the opportunity to hear a player piano play some of his works!

Side Note: If able to, we recommend seeing his opera Treemonisha at some point as well!
