Day 5 – Puget Sound Farm Week
Our favorite farm is Sterino Farms. The farm has been around since the 1920s and has a farm stand that offers a wide variety of fresh produce. There is a large green house to stroll about with plants varying based on the season, making it a nice place to stroll and find some new plants. Besides fresh and local goods year round, Sterinos provides seasonal activities as well.
In the spring, blooms emerge and the Easter Bunny. Throughout the summer, Sterinos offers a wide variety of fresh in season berries, providing a yummy assortment. At the end of summer, you can also wander through sunflower fields and pick your own!
Once the months begin to cool, the farm becomes the perfect place to spend a fall day! The farm is decked out in Autumn decor and has a large variety of pumpkins for visitors to pick from. There is also a hay ride around the farm grounds and a corn maze to explore. Additionally, there is a specialty food truck providing visitors the opportunity to get some yummy donuts. Unlike other farms fall festivals, Sterinos is free, more low-key, and a wonderful time!
During the Christmas season, Sterinos has Christmas trees and wreaths. We have gotten our wreath the last few couple from Sterinos and it has been perfect! Sterinos also has Christmas decor and Santa for those who want to get a picture.
Throughout the year, Sterinos also offers a food truck, Jake’s Burgers. The burgers take a little time to cook, but they are quite tasty! It makes a fun afternoon to place an order, sit under the tent, and enjoy the farm fields. We regularly visit Sterinos throughout the year to grab some produce or local goods and always have a nice time.
