A unique and fun spot in the University Place neighborhood is Curran Apple Orchard. The orchard is a city park filled with apple trees! Members of the community can adopt a tree to maintain it, but others are available for members of the community to gather from when the apples are ready. Besides apples, the park offers tours of the orchard, summer concert series, and an annual festival. The park is a lovely place to stop for a stroll or perhaps even pick an apple from one of the available trees. When we visited the season was just about wrapped up, but we were able to find one little apple to pick, which was perfect for our little one!
