Although we love a classic schnitzel with a drizzle of lemon and fresh parsley, we created this sauce if you would like a little extra flavor with your schnitzel.

Ingredients:

Olive oil

1.2 cups of water

Knorr bouillon

Garlic

1/2 onion

2 Bell Peppers

Tomato Puree

Paprika

Pepper

Thyme or Rosemary

White wine (if desired)

Drizzle olive oil in a pot, then add water, and prepare the bouillon cube. Allow it to slowly simmer. Chop the onion, bell peppers, and garlic and add to the mixture. Pour the tomato puree and season with paprika and pepper to taste, as well as any herbs of your choice. We tend to use thyme or rosemary. Next simmer the mixture to simmer as long as desired. If you want to add a little more flavor add in a splash of white wine. If you prefer a thicker sauce you can add greek yogurt or sour cream. Once the sauce is done, drizzle on the schnitzel and add in a little fresh parsley or chives!
