Energizer Park is the home of St. Louis City SC, St. Louis’s Major League Soccer club. Energizer Park is much more than a soccer stadium, though; it is an entire complex situated in downtown St. Louis that also includes practice facilities, the team’s headquarters, and a team store.

Energizer Park has a large footprint. There are several practice facilities to the south of the stadium. While these practice areas have fencing around them, the fencing does not completely obstruct views of the practice fields, allowing fans to see the team during training. This makes for a more interactive experience and gives fans an opportunity to see the players even if they can’t make a game. The team’s headquarters and a team store are located around the practice fields as well. While only employees are able to enter the headquarters, the team store is open during normal business hours and is situated in a sleek modern building. It doesn’t take long to navigate the store, but there is lots of merchandise for fans, including clothing, soccer balls, jerseys (including on-site personalization), hats, and lots of different accessories.

To the north of the other facilities is the team’s stadium, surrounded by a nice plaza that includes an art installation commemorating the predominantly Black neighborhood that was once there until the residents were forced out. The stadium itself does not look very imposing from street level, as much of the stadium’s seating is underground. The exterior of the stadium is quite open with white posts and a white roof around the border of the structure. The inside is clean and simple, with other places to purchase team goods, along with a bevy of St. Louis restaurants offering streamlined menus to visitors. The food scene is a real positive of the stadium; there are all sorts of different foods, including lots of cultural cuisine, to appeal to any kind of fan. Prices are reasonable for the type of food you’re able to purchase.

Energizer Park is decked out in navy blue and city red (a pinkish red) seats, giving a nice pop of color amidst the rest of the white stadium. And, the seating is arranged so that it feels like you are close to the pitch, no matter where your seat is located. Because the seating is mostly underground, the stadium is also quite loud, making for a raucous environment. City fans are quite passionate, so being at a game is almost as much of an experience as actually watching the game.

Energizer Park offers a really nice soccer experience, whether you want to see the team up close during practice, grab a t-shirt to cheer on the team, or watch a game. All of the facilities are world-class and make you feel like you’re at a stadium in Europe, rather than the United States. While ticket prices to games are a bit steep, it is worth catching a game if you are able. We have been able to attend one game and had a great time cheering on City.
