Black Fleet Brewing was opened in 2018 and offers Tacoma a wide variety of beers, as well as pub-style food. The brewery itself is located in a plain corrugated-metal building. The interior is, likewise, simple and industrial. The space itself is unadorned; the seating is simple tables, chairs, and booths, while the bar stands in front of the brewing equipment.

Black Fleet’s food menu is small, and the brewery serves standard brewpub fare, including pretzels, wings, chicken tenders, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. We ordered the chicken tenders with a salad and enjoyed our meal. We also enjoyed pairing the meal with a tasting flight of Black Fleet’s beers, which include a wide range of styles and flavors. If you’re not in the mood for beer, Black Fleet also makes their own craft sodas.
