Maui Brewing Company began in 2005 and has now grown to include four breweries on two different Hawaiian islands and a wide distribution footprint that includes states all over the country. Even so, Maui Brewing prioritizes brewing locally in Hawaii, and their taprooms include an emphasis on local ingredients.
We visited Maui Brewing’s Waikiki location, situated in a large industrial space but with a lot of warm elements to make the space more bright and inviting, such as colorful murals and dark wood sitting booths. The menu has many traditional brewpub foods, such as salad, sandwiches, and pizzas, though with local flavors. The result is some quite tasty food that pairs well with Maui Brewing’s beers, which we enjoyed with our meal. Maui Brewing’s Waikiki location has a large taplist that features their standard beers, but also some seasonal and limited beers. These were also tasty.
Maui Brewing Company offers good food and beer that corresponds to its Hawaiian setting, making it a fun place to eat and drink during a visit to Oahu or Maui.
