Big Sky Brewing has a wide distribution footprint and is available throughout the western and midwestern United States. However, Big Sky Brewing originates from Montana, as you might be able to guess from its name. The brewery is located in Missoula and resides in a large metal warehouse. In fact, the building is quite unassuming aside from the large Big Sky logo on the front.
Inside, the taproom maintains an industrial character, though some warm colors and accents lend a cozier vibe than the colder exterior. The large bar area serves only beer, though there are a number of Big Sky beers that are available to try. The beers include some Big Sky mainstays, such as their Moose Drool Brown Ale, along with more seasonal and specialty beers. The wide selection means everyone has a good chance of finding something they enjoy drinking; we particularly like the Moose Drool, the huckleberry blonde ale, and the Pilsner.
If you can’t stay or would like some Big Sky Brewing merchandise, the taproom has a small store tucked down a hallway behind the taproom. The store includes a number of beers to go; visitors can even make their own 6-pack of Big Sky brews. However, you decide to enjoy it, we recommend trying Big Sky Brewing.
