Coffee Week – Day 2
Located in the midst of Seattle’s Pioneer Square and historic buildings is Zeigeist Coffee. Outside, Zeigeist is a large brick building, and once inside visitors are in a large warehouse space. The back wall is where visitors can place their coffee order and then wrapping around the entire outside are windows, allowing light to pour in. The back wall also, like a Viennese coffeehouse, has stacks of newspapers for visitors to grab and pour into while enjoying a coffee. Besides Coffee, Zeigeist also offers a cafe menu to enjoy some food. A unique aspect of Zeigeist however is that they often will feature different artists and their work to allow visitors to engage with different artwork. We visited Zeigeist after a cold, rainy day and enjoyed some warm coffee and a bite to eat, making for a nice and relaxing afternoon.
