One of the cutest little harbor towns along Puget Sound is Poulsbo, WA. Poulsbo had a plethora of Scandinavian immigrants settle there and a focal point of the town has become its Norwegian identity. When we visited it was the middle of winter, and cold but sunny, making it a pleasant day in the PNW. We grabbed a couple delicious pastries at Sluys Poulsbo Bakery, a fantastic bakery, and began by walking along the waterfront at Liberty Bay Waterfront Park.

We grabbed a lunch at Tizley’s Europub, which has a wide menu. Tizley’s is located on the second floor up a steep set of stairs. The room is fairly small and no fuss, but has nice views of the downtown. We opted for the German cuisine, and enjoyed pretty decent schnitzel! Afterwards, we strolled along the town and looked at the different shops. We then grabbed a coffee at Caffe Cocina, a little coffeeshop and headed for a hike on the peninsula. For those in the South Sound area, Poulsbo is a lovely little town and we highly recommend a visit!
