Aslin Beer Co. is originally from Herndon, Virginia but has expanded to include two other locations in Virginia, along with taprooms in Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh. We recently visited the taproom in Pittsburgh, located in the Strip District in what is now called the Terminal, a long re-purposed building that originally served as a wholesale food distribution center. The Terminal itself is a lovely brick structure with handsome storefronts and some fun decorative elements. Those extend to the interior of Aslin, which is a huge open room with lots of seating and an open-air interior balcony with additional seating. The vast space is clean and industrial, but with splashes of bold color that brighten the space.

Aslin has a huge bar area, which features a number of beers on tap. There are myriad styles ranging from lagers to juicy IPAs to stouts and everything in between. We had small pours of three beers–a tasty lager, a nice double IPA, and a very well-made peanut butter stout. Aslin also has a large food menu. We enjoyed a kale salad with pears and nuts along with a smashburger and fries, which paired nicely with our beer.

Aslin’s Strip District location is a fun place to hang out and features food and good beer. We recommend checking out this Pittsburgh taproom.
