A fun St. Louis restaurant that has become a bit of a staple in St. Louis is the Fountain on Locust. The restaurant opened in 2008 and since then has become a fun place to grab a meal or a sweet treat! The Fountain on Locust is a short two-story in a white-washed building with ornate architectural features. Inside the restaurant is painted with bright gold and ostentatious art deco themes. The floors are a classic black-and-white mini tiles and ornate wood throughout, including a wooden bar in the middle to grab a stool at.
The menu is quite large with cocktails, mocktails, coffees, appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, deserts, and, the focal point, a wide variety of ice cream options, including desserts, beverages, floats, and ice cream itself. The Fountain on Locust is known for being a fun date spot and when we visited we split the Three Coins in a Fountain. It was enough for us to share; however, for those with a sweet tooth, they might enjoy a little more. We had fun with the retro themed restaurant and definitely enjoyed our time at the Fountain on Locust!
