Seattle-Tacoma Restaurant Week – Day 1
It is getting colder and wetter outside, so we have been gravitating towards indoor activities. Restaurants are a great way to explore an area, so we will visit a few different restaurants along the Sound. To start we are stopping off at a Thai restaurant in Kent, WA, Saya Thai. The restaurant is tucked in a strip of stores with a basic sign denoting the restaurant. Inside the restaurant is an assortment of seating options of tables and chairs or booths in a simple setting. We settled into a booth in the front next to a window.
Saya advertises itself as a Thai and Japanese restaurant. When we visited we ordered some spring rolls, pad thai, and fried rice. Everything was delicious! We had also let them know about a shellfish allergy, so the owner came out and spoke with us and then created a sauce just for our noodles to provide our dish with some additional flavor, but ensure everything was safe. They were so kind and helpful and made us feel like it was a safe place to eat even with a shellfish allergy. We both really enjoyed the food and definitely would like to return!
