Good News Brewing Company is located in Defiance, Missouri, just off the Katy Trail and the Missouri River. The modern, yet rustic brewpub is simple and a bit industrial, but has lots of windows for an airy feel. The atmosphere is certainly pleasant.

The brewery offers a number of different beers, most of which are brewed to specific styles, like pilsner, IPA, pale ale, and brown ale. We were able to sample several of Good News’s beers in a tasting flight and enjoyed sampling their different offerings. Good News also has house-fired pizza. Patrons can make their own pizza, or choose one of several on the menu, such as Buffalo chicken, BBQ chicken, and banana pepper pepperoni. We were also able to try a couple of different pizzas, which were tasty and paired well with our beer.

Overall, Good News Brewing is a pleasant place to enjoy a beer and a pizza, especially if you are exploring Missouri’s Weinstraße.

Sidenote: Good News has three other locations in Augusta, O’Fallon, and St. Charles. They also have a coffee shop called Alpha and Omega in O’Fallon.
