There are 124 state parks in Washington and we have enjoyed beginning to explore each of the different parks. A very relaxing and nice park we recently visited was Kopachuck State Park in Gig Harbor. After a morning in downtown Gig Harbor, we went to Kopachuck. The park is right along the waterfront on the Carr Inlet off of Puget Sound, and its location provides a variety of activities, including boating, fishing, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. When we visited we walked down to the beach and enjoyed a long stroll along the beach. There was hardly anyone there, and we had a lovely afternoon on the beach!
