South Sound Park Week – Day 4

A delightful little park, with an incredible view is Pioneer Orchard Park in Steilacoom, WA. The town is nestled right along the shore of Puget Sound, and the park is situated at the edge of the Sound. Pioneer Orchard Park is at a sloped incline toward the water and has a small stage for performances, a couple of benches, and a fun glider chair. During the summer the park serves as a hub for the community with concerts, as well as an area for people who sprawl out onto after a visit to the regular Farmer’s Market along the Steilacoom streets. Throughout the entire year, the park provides a natural space to sit and enjoy stunning sunsets. One of our favorite things to do is to grab a picnic dinner and then just watch as the sun passes behind the Olympic Mountains!
