South Sound Park Week – Day 3
A park we often frequent is the Puyallup River Walk Trail. The trail is a 5 mile paved trail located along the Puyallup River. There are multiple access points to the trail so you can make the walk varying lengths and either make a loop or turn around if you prefer to continue walking along the river. There has been recent work along the trail that has cut back growth, making it easier to see the river better, which has been a nice addition! Additionally, if you enjoy birding, the trail provides an ample opportunity to see different birds, including bald eagles. We have also seen a nutria hanging out on the banks. Since we live in the area we thoroughly enjoy making a long loop after work for some fresh air and the sound of the walk rustling along.
