Chicago is a train-ride away from St. Louis and due to family and work circumstances, we frequent Chicago often. We try to add in at least one attraction each time and we always find a stop to Navy Pier to be fun! The pier stretches from the city of Chicago, extending the city itself for an additional 3,000+ feet into Lake Michigan. Navy Pier is full of different attractions, making it ideal for a variety of different interests. Attractions consist of restaurants, museums, event spaces, a hotel, art gallery, a theater, stores for shopping, a maze, carnival-style rides, boats for site seeing, and, of course, scenic views of the city and lake. Additionally, there are different events and festival throughout the year for visitors to explore. On our most recent visit we just enjoyed the views that Navy Pier provides and spent the morning walking along the pier and taking pictures of the skyline. If you enjoy the lakefront, we definitely recommend a visit to Navy Pier.
