One of our favorite things to do is scenic drives that stop off in quaint little towns. One of our more recent drives involved a stop off in Le Claire, IA at the Mississippi River Distilling Company. The distilling company is in a cute brick building overlooking the Mississippi River. To the side of the building, there is a lovely patio that allows visitors to enjoy the river breeze and a fun drink or tasting from the distillery. Inside, the room is small, but warm with wood floors, large windows, a bar, little tables and chairs, and light pouring into the room. The distillery offers a large range of options, so visitors can enjoy mixed drinks, liqueurs, whiskey, vodka, gin, and bourbon in various ways! When we visited we did a tasting to try a range of their products and enjoyed relaxing while trying a few different spirits. For anyone who enjoys spirits and views of the Mississippi River, the Mississippi River Distilling Company is a lovely stopping off point!
