Around an hour and a half outside of St. Louis is Graham Cave State Park in Danville, MO. Graham Cave is situated right off of interstate 70, making it a great stopping point for those driving across the country to stop at or those in St. Louis area who would like to enjoy nature. The park is centered around the cave, but provides visitors with hiking trails, camping, boating, picnicking, fishing, and a playground. Artifacts show that the cave has been utilized for thousands of years, so a focal point for the interpretive trail that runs along the cave is examining the history and culture of the people who once utilized the cave. When we visited we enjoyed a hike in nature and seeing the cave! As we continue to try to explore each of the different parks in the Missouri State Park system, we both enjoyed Graham Cave.
