In Northern Seattle, in the city of Kenmore, WA is Saint Edwards State Park. The park previously served as a Catholic Seminary, but has since been converted to a state park. The former seminary has been converted into a lodge for visitors to stay at and enjoy relaxing rooms, a spa, dining, recreation, art, history tours, live music, a library, high tea, and, of course, the outdoors! The state park provides boating, fishing, swimming, biking, playgrounds, sport fields, and hiking.

When we visited we walked around the ground and enjoyed both the natural scenery, as well as the architecture of the former seminary. The grounds also contain a grotto, which visitors can stop by and take a moment, or reserve for events as well. Saint Edwards State Park provides a nice opportunity to get away from the city bustle and enjoy some peace and tranquility.
