A lovely little trail that takes you straight to Puget Sound is Sequalitchew Trail in Dupont, WA. The trailhead is located next to City Hall and is a slow decline towards the coast. The trail is gravel and runs alongside the Sequalitchew Creek with lovely ferns and trees lining the trail, as well as the sounds of birds chirping and squirrels chewing on nuts. The trail is in and out with a total of 3 miles. The halfway point is Puget Sound. There is a rocky beach with lovely views and visitors can sit and enjoy the view with the sound of the waves. We visited on a Friday afternoon following work and there were only a handful of other people there. It was primarily families enjoying a nice picnic dinner.
