Missouri is dotted with an assortment of wineries along old routes and state highways. White Mule Winery is situated right along highway 50 connecting an assortment of small rural middle Missouri towns to Jefferson City. White Mule Winery is a winery, restaurant, and a bed and breakfast, so the location makes it a nice stopping point for those traveling to-and-from the capitol.
When we visited we stopped for a short visit to the winery, which is in a wood barn-like structure that serves also as the restaurant. The property and grounds expansive and often utilized for special events with large spaces. When we visited we participated in a tasting and tried an assortment of White Mule Winery’s wines. Our favorite was the Vignoles, which we purchased a bottle of and enjoyed with dinner on our patio. For those driving along highway 50, White Mule Winery is an easy stopping point to grab a glass of wine and explore a new winery.
