Rock Island Brewing Company, often known as RIBCO, is located in The District area of Rock Island. Although the name implies they brew beer, RIBCO offers an assortment of beer, music, and pub food. RIBCO is situated in a painted two-story building. The building is a bright green with red and yellow accents framing the doors and windows. There is a large retro bulb-style sign above the door and the ground windows can fully open up the outside to the inside. Typically there are tables and chairs scattered in front of the space extending the restaurant into the walkway. Once inside there are two primary long rooms that run adjacent to one another. There is a bar at the center and booths running along the wall. In the back there is a stage for an assortment of performers. The decor consists of exposed brick, wooden booths and accents, and musician photos dotting the walls. The food at RIBCO is standard pub food, but it is delicious! We highly recommend going on a Wednesday for their special on burger baskets and grabbing a beer from the large assortment of beers.
