One of our absolute favorite restaurants is La Racherita in Rock Island, IL. The restaurant specializes in Mexican food and is amazing! La Rancherita is in a simple two-story brick building. The outside is rather non-assuming with a simple sign marking the restaurant. Inside the decor is simple with basic metal tables and chairs, tile floors, pastel green walls, and a few pictures along the walls. Visitors can settle into a table or booth and are given an extensive menu. The menu is traditional Mexican cuisine and the food speaks for itself. The portions are quite large, making for a filling and flavorful meal. After years of visiting La Rancherita, a disappointing meal has never been received – it is phenomenal! For anyone in the general area, we highly recommend taking a detour just to stop at La Rancherita.
