HenHouse Brewing Company is a craft brewery in Sonoma County, California. The original brewery and tasting room are located in Santa Rosa, while a second location, known as the “Palace of Barrels,” is in Petaluma.

We visited the Petaluma tasting room, which is located in a modern building that blends in with some other office spaces nearby, with the exception of the bold black and red paint on the top of the building, featuring the brewery name in large white letters and a portrait of the brewing company’s namesake, a hen. The interior of the tasting room is rather plain, but clean, with a large bar area at the center of the room with a few tables with chairs scattered in front of it. If you would rather enjoy the fresh air, there is a lovely outdoor patio that visitors can enjoy.

Patrons can order beer, both tastings and larger servings, at the bar. HenHouse featured a wide variety of different styles, including IPAs, session ales and lagers, and some fun summer-inspired offerings. We tried a tasting flight with four beers, each of which was enjoyable and a nice companion on a warm summer California afternoon.

Overall, HenHouse Brewing Company was a fun way to spend an afternoon and featured a pleasant atmosphere and fine beer.
