Narrow Gauge Brewing Company is located in the northern reaches of the St. Louis metro area. The brewery is in partnership with Cugino’s, an Italian restaurant that also serves Narrow Gauge’s beer on tap and functions as Narrow Gauge’s tasting room. The restaurant/tasting room is in an unassuming white building in Florissant. Inside, stained wooden slats line the walls and the bar, and bar decor and furniture fill the space. Patrons can find numerous Narrow Gauge beers on tap, ranging from pale ales to sours, IPAs to stouts. While Narrow Gauge brews a variety of different styles of beer, they are most known for their juicy IPAs and their stouts/porters, usually made with specialty and unique ingredients. During our visit, we bought three different Narrow Gauge beers in cans–Double Dry Hopped Fallen Flag, Double Dry Hopped Cloud City, and Frisches Bier. We enjoyed getting to try these different beers and found each of them to be refreshing, tasty, and delicious. Narrow Gauge Brewing is a nice brewery and is certainly worth a visit if you enjoy craft beer.
