Although certain parks such as Tower Grove and Forest Park are large and well-known, there are also quaint, little parks that have their own charm. Throughout the pandemic we have tried to visit new and different ones to experience a variety of neighborhoods and find gems throughout the city. This week we will be highlighting a couple of the parks we have visited.
Park Week – Day 1
Located in the Carondelet neighborhood, Bellerive Park is situated along the river front, making it a special little city park. The park was formed in 1908, being a long part of St. Louis’ history. The park features a small pavilion that has lovely rounded arches that visitors can sit under and enjoy at any time. There is also a playground that provides visitors with opportunities to slide, climb, and swing around on. The park is small, but has a single path runs through the park and connects people to the different benches that allow you to sit and take in the views of the river front. A lot of the city has industries along the river front making it difficult to see nice views of the city, but Bellerive Park allows visitors to sit and enjoy a cool breeze and nice view.
