Next to Des Peres City Hall, is Des Peres Park, which provides a nice little retrieve from the suburbs. The park shares a parking lot with city hall and helps to create almost a lawn for the city. It is not an overly large park, but there are several walking trails that wind throughout the park. There is also a beautiful lake for visitors to walk around or sit and enjoy is stocked for fishing. Additionally, there are playgrounds, picnic sites, and a gazebo, providing a variety of activities for visitors. The park is primarily for home to an assortment of recreation items though with baseball fields, tennis courts, pickleball courts, soccer fields, and shuffleboard courts. Throughout the year the park is also home to several different events that the city puts on, such as camping, fishing, or art and sports camps. When we visited, we took a stroll throughout the park and found the small boardwalk to be adorable! Overall, the park is a great little space for those in the Des Peres area.
