This makes for a great breakfast dish and is quite filling. We think it is ideal for a morning breakfast dish for guests that is flavorful and unique.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 Cup of Flour
1 Packet of Yeast
125 ml Luke-warm Water
2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
Pinch of Salt
1/2 stick of Butter
2 Egg Yolks
8 oz of Plain Greek Yogurt (1/4 of a large container)
3 pieces of Turkey Bacon
1/2 onion
1/2 Tablespoon Caraway Seeds
Cheese of your choice
Dough: Begin by placing the flour in a bowl. In a separate bowl dissolve the yeast packet in the luke-warm water and add the olive oil and salt.Pour the yeast mixture into the center of the dough and knead until smooth. You may need to add a little water or some flour to get the correct consistency, but you want a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and place somewhere warm. Typically we preheat the oven and set the bowl on the oven to generate warmth.
Filing: Set the oven to 400 degrees and then in a bowl cream the butter. Stir the egg yolks in slowly and then the plain Greek Yogurt to create the filing. Put the mixture aside and chop the bacon and onions into small pieces. Add the bacon and onions to the filling and sprinkle in the caraway seeds.
Next, once the dough has risen, knead the dough and then roll out on a baking sheet. Pour the filling on top of the dough and sprinkle with the cheese of your choice. Place in the oven for around 20 minutes. Afterwards you are left with a tasty and filling breakfast dish!

Side Note: If you don’t use the turkey bacon the dish could easily be vegetarian! Also, you could always use a roll out dough making the dish a quick morning dish.
