Restaurant Week – Day 2 (Takeout Version)

Located right next door to Bluewood Brewing, Mac’s Local Eats is a restaurant specializing in burgers in the Benton Park neighborhood. The restaurant features some of the traditional architecture of the neighborhood with some updates that exude a more modern feel. However, the restaurant has been closed and is exclusively providing takeout to its patrons. Now, those wishing to try Mac’s Local Eats can drive up to the front of the restaurant, place their order, and have their food in a few minutes.

Mac’s Local Eats, as the name suggests, focuses on high-quality, local ingredients. Their menu focuses on burgers, though they offer a variety to choose from, including veggie, pork, and beef burgers with different toppings. All of the burgers are smashburgers, so the emphasis is on very thin patties, often with cheese between the patties. Patrons can also choose between a few different sides and dips to go with their burgers.

Mac’s Local Eats’ emphasis on their ingredients and craftsmanship delivers–they offer one of the best burgers in St. Louis. Their burgers are incredibly flavorful and savory, featuring a balance between meat, cheese, and toppings between a tasty bun. The fries are also delicious and go well with the house-made ketchup or their garlic aioli. Overall, Mac’s Local Eats has one of the best burgers we have ever had, so we certainly recommend trying Mac’s Local Eats if you in any way enjoy burgers.
